How Shakey's came to be...
Shakey's was originally owned by Mike Walton who was known in the hockey world as Mike "Shakey" Walton Number 16. He played for the Toronto Maple leafs and won a Stanley Cup with them in 1967. As a second career he chose to open a bar in Bloor West Village called Shakey's Original Bar and Grill. Over the years it has passed through several different ownerships but has always kept the famous name Shakey's.
